Marashino liqueur

Maraschino is a liqueur made from sour cherries.

There are two commonly available brands in the US, Luxardo and Maraska. Luxardo is by far more common. It is also (a) more expensive, and (b) disgusting (IMHO).

Thus, my current suggestion would be that if you can’t find Maraska, I would just make a different cocktail rather than buying Luxardo. However, I’m going to keep testing both in any cocktail I make which calls for Maraschino, and maybe I’ll eventually find one in which I prefer the Luxardo’s funky taste.
