MSG–Nucleotide Solution

This is a mixture of water, MSG, and the “savory nucleotides” inosine and guanosine, which you can buy as a powder of their sodium salts in equal amounts (“I+G”, e.g., from the brand “Make it Meaty”).

The concentration here is chosen so that 1 tsp. of this solution contains ¼ tsp. of MSG. If you only have MSG, just substituting that would be ok.

Ingredients

  • 430 g water
  • 100 g MSG
  • 2 g I+G powder, i.e., equal mixture of disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate

Procedure

  1. Mix everything and make sure it dissolves.
