This is an IBA standard cocktail. Compared to the IBA recipe, my preferred spec is a bit lighter on the maraschino and quite a bit heavier on the crème de violette.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. gin
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz. Maraska liqueur
  • ½ oz. crème de violette

Procedure

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for about ten seconds.
  3. Strain into a cocktail coupe.
